Our Family Pictures
Finally a family picture with all 4 of us! I was worried about these pictures. River ran through the sprinklers a half hour before we were supposed to leave and her curlers got soaked. Sariah had a cold and cryed the whole way to Salt Lake. I had a huge zit on my chin. And well, Cameron was riled up that we were missing the family BBQ. Despite the odds, I'm pretty happy with the way these turned out! Thank you Katrina from RedBean Photography!

What a Month...
This spring it seems like we have been doing nothing but yard work and gardening, yard work and gardening. The grass was completly dead when we bought our house, so we've been trying to green it up. I'm learning to love working out in the yard, not to mention how much River and Sariah love playing outside.
This is our lovely little garden patch! Joy! Tonight we ate the first radishes out of the garden...heaven I say!
We did take a break from the yard to go to Melanie's graduation at USU. Who doesn't love the spot where the sage brush grows? We love Melanie so we where really excited for her. Isn't this picture of Ty and Mel adorable?
The crazy family.

MY Kitchen on 'Design with Christine'
Christine is an interior decorator who helps people with their design dilemmas and posts her ideas on her blog. I emailed her pictures of my kitchen and she came up with an adorable design for me! She does this for free. If you want to see what she came up with for my kitchen, head over to http://www.designwithchristine.com/2010/05/sheenas-kitchen.html and tell me what you think! Her blog also has tons of great design advise if you are like me and have LOTS of questions!

Baby Hendrix
While Cameron slaved away in the yard this weekend (we forgot when you buy a house you have to take care of the yard!) I took the girls to my cousin's baby shower. They named the baby Hendrix and he is a cutie. We got to have lots of fun with Grandma Giles too. I LOVE THIS PICTURE of her with the girls.
These are all the great-grandkids. Hunter, River, Sariah, Halle, Abby and Hendrix.
My parents came to visit our house for Sariah's birthday. Cam and I had to speak in church that weekend, so it was perfect timing. My mom had to spend the whole time out in the hall, because Sariah kept trying to walk up to the pulpit.

Sweet Sariah Turned One Today!
One year ago...

Today!!!
Sariah turned one year old today! I must gush about how much we love and adore her, because it's true. We LOVE her!
Sariah is toddling around, with only two bottom teeth, saying "Mamama" and "Dada da da." She loves stairs, doggies, bread and being outside. When ever she sees a dog she gets REALLY excited, stomps her feet, bounces up and down, points and says 'oh! oh! dogga! dogga!" She's really starting to understand the things we say and is really interested in learning sign language. She signs light, more, cheese, drink, bird, and hat. Tonight we were having pizza for dinner and River was saying, "It's pizza, Sariah. Pizza. PIZZA!" when, I swear, Sariah opened her mouth and said "Pi ZA." It was so cute! Now Cameron wants to tell people that pizza was her first word! I think she's already said 'doggy' and 'baby', but it's hard to say. Sariah loves to play 'chase' where she leaves the room, even though she knows she's not supposed to, until you chase her and she crawls away faster and faster laughing, until she collapses because she can't go any faster. It's so funny. If you say 'Kiss' she gives you a kiss, if you say "hi five" she'll give you a high five. I love this age!
We celebrated Sariah's big day by having cake and icecream with some family and friends at the park. Thanks for coming everyone!

Snowy Easter
We had a great Easter! Ty, Blake, Mom and Dad all came to stay with us over the weekend. We dyed eggs, listened to conference , and painted the snow. Yes, snow. We have tons of snow so all the egg hunting was inside. I've been trying to get River to understand why we celebrate Easter, but I'm not sure how much sunk in... River's prayer at dinner: "Thank thee that Jesus could bring us Easter Eggs."

She Walks!
Sariah took her first steps today after church. She walked 5 or 6 steps from Cameron's arms into mine. Yay Sariah! We had a hard time getting her to walk on video, because she wouldn't walk to River, but hopefully you can still see her mad balancing skills! ;)
Love this picture of Cameron. His co-workers call this the 'lifesaver sweater'.
And River's big acheivement lately: She learned to button her own buttons! She is so happy and proud of herself.
Besides walking and buttoning River and Sariah are starting to play together a bit, which is so sweet and fun. On the other hand they are getting jealous of each other's time with Mom and Dad, so we try to give them both enough attention. I often end up with both of them on my lap, reading two different books at the same time. That way Sariah can flip through the pages as fast as she wants, and River can listen to the story!

Sewing is Hard, Painting is Fun
Yeah, I made this apron for my niece's bridal shower. It was hard, but I conquered my fear of sewing. I mean, it actually looks half decent!
Other projects I've completed recently are a clock and mirror I found at the thrift store. I cleaned up the clock and painted the background and frame black.
I think it looks much more sleek and modern, and I love how the trees stand out now.
I painted and distressed this mirror for our hallway. I want to put a thin green ribbon around the flower pot. How do you feel about the mirror? Be honest, you won't hurt my feelings! Too turquoise? Is it a weird shape, or do you like it?
