Feb. 22, 1979 was a magical day...

Cameron had a birthday, shout hurray! River and I surprised Cameon with a birthday breakfast of strawberry topped waffles and maple syrup! Cams favorite dish of Shephards Pie turned out to be the perfect birthday dinner. Afterwards, we polished off the evening devouring devil's food cake with cream cheese frosting and peanut butter-fudge icecream.

I almost had to buy 2 boxes of candles just to get 28. Whew, somebody is getting old...

Cam finally got the BYU Men's Chior Cd he wanted!

Lights out.

With Love

Happy Valentines Day!

Why don't they make adult size onsies?

Another typical River face. She is laying on her 'horsey blankie'. My mom made it for the boy we were going to have, but instead River will have to be a cowgirl.

River's got mad skills!

We've noticed River doing things that she couldn't do before. Here are a few.

1- She can now successfully suck on her fingers. Sometimes we'll wakeup to loud slurping sounds coming from her crib!

2- grunting. loudly.

3- It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's superman! When River is on her tummy she lifts her arms and legs and rocks back and forth. (hey, that takes alot of muscle coordination!) I thought she was doing yoga, but Cameron thinks she is secretly a superhero.

4- grasping objects (placed expertly in her hands by a parent)

5- smiling back!

One Month Older and Wiser Too

Today we are celebrating Rivers One Month birthday! For this special occasion we are going to give River a special treat. We are going to let her sleep all day and party all night! Oh wait, she does that everyday. Silly, silly parents.

Check out how much she has changed in just 30 days!

NATIONAL LETTER-OF-INTENT DAY

SUU, Get Ready for the Stillman! Blake was offered a full-ride scholarship to Southern Utah University, playing football for the Thunderbirds! He met with the coach, Wes Meier, a couple of days ago, and had only one day to decide if he wanted to take the shcolarhip or not. Talk about pressure! In the end he decided it was a great opportunity and signed the letter of intent! Congrats! I got this article off of SUUs website, http://www.suu.edu/athletics , please feel free to read it.... pretty exciting stuff.

2007 NLI Signing Day
THUNDERBIRDS SIGN 22 ON NLI SIGNING DAY
CEDAR CITY, Utah, Feb. 7 – Southern Utah University has signed 22 players to national letters of intent on the annual winter signing date, SUU Coach Wes Meier announced today. With the five players the Thunderbirds signed on the early signing date that brings the total number of players signed by SUU to 27 this off-season.
We’re really excited about this group of players we’ve signed this year,” SUU Coach Wes Meier said. “We’ve signed a great group, probably one of the most talented we’ve ever signed. We think we’ll be bringing in a good mix of players, some will help us right away and some will be the future of Thunderbird football as they grow and mature.”
Included in the group are 18 prep athletes, including 12 from Utah, four from Idaho and two from Nevada. There are also four junior college signees to go with the five signed during the early period.
The signings include five preps from southern Utah, including Canyon View running back Austin Minefee, wide receiver Kevin Clements from Pine View and two Dixie High products: fullback Garrett Blake and receiver Tyler Fink.
In addition to those five the Thunderbirds also signed Utah preps Trevor Everett (LB, Lone Peak), Blake Fenn (DB, Union), Josh Fitisemanu (RB, Murray) and Patrick Kruse (OL, Park City). Also signing from Utah are Mitch Meier (DB, Murray), Easton Pederson (WR, Lone Peak), Chase Pendley (DB, Skyline) and Sean Taylor (QB, Jordan).
Idaho signees include Ben Black (DL, Capital), Cody Bolken (OL, Eagle), Brad Meyer (DL, Capital) and Tim Whipps (OL, Eagle).
Those high school athletes inking letters of intent from Nevada include Cody Heinrich (DL, Del Sol) and Colin Pretlow (DB, Las Vegas).
Signing from the junior college ranks are two players from California and two from Arizona. Signing from California are DB George Ortiz, from Feather River CC; and Cody Stone, a quarterback from Bakersfield CC. Arizona JuCos include FB/TE Johan Rauge, from Phoenix CC; and LB Zack Samorano, from Arizona Western.
In addition to those players, the Thunderbirds signed the following five players during the early signing period: OL Joe Ellis from Cyprus HS; OL Richard Giannelli, from Bakersfield CC; TE Joel Johnson, from Phoenix CC; WR Nick Miller, from Scottsdale CC; and OL Jeremy Vilardo, from Victor Valley CC.

Kills 99.99% of Common Harmful Germs

It's official. We will be blessing River in Tooele on Sunday, March 11 at 11:00 and can't wait to see everyone! Rivers doctor said that it should be fine to take her on a plane even though she will only be 7 wks old. He also said to make sure that anyone who touches her washes their hands first because of the RSV risk. (I just know that I'm going to have an axiety attack thinking about all the nasty microbes lurking around the airport) Cameron will be lucky if I don't pack a Lysol can and spray everything in sight. Yep, I've been stocking up on the hand sanitizer, so prepare to be d-germed! No man, woman, child or household surface will escape unscathed!
