Family Day at the 328th Combat Support Hospital

Cameron was in charge of Family Day at the unit this year.  There were games, crafts, cookies and a real Christmas dinner with turkey and mashed potatoes.  Santa even came! The kids got to hang out with the soldiers all day and they loved it.  The soldiers taught the kids cadences and had them march up to the attic to do PT and other military games.  They even got to hold the rubber M16s that the unit trains with.  They are the real size and weight so the soldiers showed all the kids how to hold the M16 properly.  River got to try the "sniper prone" position.  Sariah just tried not to fall over....I think the gun weighed more than her!

They also did relay races with training dummies the combat hospital uses.  The kids had to drag the dummies across the room.  River said, "I had to grab the dummies leg and it had blood on it and it's brain was coming out!  The dummies hand was all black and gross!"  She loved it.  Sariah was scared of the dummies and wouldn't even look at them.

Spike It !!!

River drew this picture.  It's a viking warrior stabbing a huge dragon and blood dripping down and pooling on the ground.

Cameron took it to work and hung it by his computer.
