The Girl .L O V E S. Shoes

It was great the day River found my mom's be-jeweled flip-flops. They are River's joy in life. She carries them all over the house so she can try them on whenever she wants. Yesterday, she came into the kitchen with one flip-flop dangling from her mouth. It was funny, however unsanitary, and I laughed real hard. I tell ya, this girl keeps me entertained.

Also, for record keeping sake, River is talking like crazy. She has started using 2 word sentences such as : 'Grandma's shoes' (admittedly Grandma sounds like ga-ma), 'bye Daddy,' 'happy baby!' and the like. Also we were walking outside when River said 'Let's sit down,' and plopped onto the ground in the middle of the driveway to play with an ant pile. I did a serious double take. Doth my ears deceive me? Maybe I was out in the sun too long and it affected my hearing. Then again, I don't hear all that well anyways. One ear just ain't as good as two.

Whitey Whites Go to the Zoo

Sun protection is a must around the White household. (just look at that fair skin, tsk tsk tsk) SPF 50, hats, sunglasses. You name it, I got it.

River loves animals. In Spokane, all the animals we ever saw were dogs, cats and birds. It's like animal heaven here in the Basin. Now we see horses, cows, lamas, goats, cats and dogs on a daily basis. River even rode on 'Sweetie'.

We also went to the zoo last weekend and saw lots of exotic animals.

Favorite part of the Zoo:
*Me* the raspberry slushy at the end.
*River* the train.
*Cameron* hanging out with his nephews.

Ps. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you should. Trust me on this one.

Eww, eww, eww.

*River ate a grasshopper.

*According to Cameron it was a minuscule one.

*After a half hour of me being sick over it, he told me she didn't swallow it, she spit it out.

*I suppose that is slightly better than eating it. I think.

'In the Midst of Moving' Post

We will be in Utah May and June, and then off to New York where Cameron accepted a administrative fellowship! So, as we are drowning in boxes, this post is all about slapping a few pictures and videos down for the family until we arrive.

This is the hospital where Cam will work. Looks like a snowflake.

In an amazing feat of hand-eye coordination, I finally succeeded putting pigtails in River's hair.

Last party with friends. :(

It is really hard to take video at the playground when you are by yourself. I kept worrying that River would fall off the equipment. Couldn't get her to go down the slide...

She had more fun climbing up and down the nearby picnic tables and crawling in the dirt rings around the trees than she did on the jungle gym.

ps. Congratulations to Cameron who is graduating this Friday from WSU with a Masters of Health Policy and Administration.
