The Bavarian Village

Leavenworth is a beautiful German village nestled in the Cascade Mountains. Lots of great scenery, hiking trails, river rafting, chocolate, cheese and sausage.

We went there last weekend to hike, bike and relax. We listened to lovely alphorn music every morning over breakfast. We frolicked in the Wenatchee River. We ate rotkraut! (cooked red cabbage, very delightful) It was wonderful.
I also found my true passion. Bavarian socks. I really need to learn to knit so I can make some for Cameron.

One highlight of the trip for Cam was when we ate at King Ludweigs.....Cameron was in sausage and saurkraut heaven.

Happy birthday/anniversary! And that sausage looks nasty.
